For the past 4 years, I've been fortunate to have experienced life working in Baghdad, Iraq as a Security Contractor. It was such an incredible part of my life, it became a huge part of who I am. While I was deployed, I was able to keep up with a few of my many passions, including photography, fitness, and writing, as well as some amazing traveling throughout my time there during my leaves. During those 4 years, my husband and I were both working in Iraq, (on different contracts), so we would only see each other every 6-9 months. Just recently, we made a decision, that when our contracts ended, we would take this time to simply BE together. Now, after being "international nomads"..and being in a "holding pattern in Melbourne , AU since June, I am redeploying, back to work, nose to the grindstone.. ..just prior, to that, ( for 10 months), we "settled" in the Yucatan, (in Mexico) on the beach, where we were able to simply chill. Living the simple life daily, I was so thankful to incorporate additional deep passions of mine, including speaking Spanish, cooking, gardening, and the best part.. living the simple life. I love being a wife, nature, photography, writing, cooking, keeping fit, yoga, and creating the good life, no matter where we are, or where we end up.....Life is a JOURNEY.. we are here to experience it, and simply be present, and thankful. I am HAPPY to share all the amazing things that I have experienced thus far, and wish to share all that I continue to experience ;-). I feel honored to have a venue to simply share my experiences. I am incredibly thankful, and have the deepest gratitude for my existence.~ Pura Vida'~ Namaste'
